COMMERCIAL INTERIORS
Architecture has been the cornerstone of my career, and I have had the privilege of serving as a lead designer from the very start. I consider myself fortunate that my passion aligns perfectly with my profession.
Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to work with three esteemed firms: RTKL, DES, and DGA. These experiences have honed my natural talent into a refined skill set, allowing me to bring innovative and functional designs to life.

Project: Genentech Interiors -
South San Francisco, CA
Role: Senior Project Designer
The Genentech interiors project spanned over 200,000 square feet, transforming the space into a functional and visually cohesive environment. The first floor serves as a central hub, featuring a lobby, café, auditorium, and seating areas designed for interaction and relaxation. Floors 2 through 6 house a mix of office and lab spaces, each uniquely themed around a scientific concept.
A standout feature of the project is the design of the breakrooms on each floor. These spaces are not only functional but also creatively reflect the scientific theme of their respective floors. The overall design was inspired by the seven elements of nature, integrating natural materials like polished concrete, moss wall accents, and wood finishes throughout. This approach created a workspace that balances functionality with an engaging, thematic experience, fostering both creativity and collaboration among employees.

FIRM : DES 2015
Project: Apple Interiors -
Sunnyvale, CA
Role: Designer
For the Apple Central & Wolf Campus project, I singlehandedly secured the design win for DES by transforming seven PDF floor plans into a project-winning animation. This animation clearly articulated the overarching concept I proposed for the campus, which was deeply rooted in the building’s original form and the strategic placement of central spools within the bulges. This spatial organization guided the logic behind the arrangement of break areas, offices, and collaboration spaces.
After winning the competition, my focus shifted to designing the key feature spaces within the campus, including the lobby, reception desk, collaborative areas, and elevator lobbies. The design approach ensured that these spaces not only aligned with Apple’s high standards for innovation and functionality but also enhanced the overall aesthetic and user experience of the campus. This project stands as a testament to the power of clear vision, precise communication, and innovative design.

LONGWAN RETAIL
Longwan, China
The Longwan project was assigned to our studio for reexamination and potential redesign. The proposals we generated were happily approved by the client.
The design origins focused on several key factors. We incorporated passive heating and cooling strategies to enhance energy efficiency. Budget and cost distribution were carefully considered to ensure financial feasibility. Sectional studies were specifically designed to maximize solar usability through public concourses. Revit Ecotect solar skin studies were conducted to optimize the building’s interaction with sunlight. The geometries and forms were inspired by the client’s concept of the “lotus.” Additionally, the plan and spatial qualities were designed as multifunctional civic spaces, promoting versatility and community engagement.
